Most of you may know that my “day job” involves pretty much the same stuff as I do here at the Celery Club: I’m a web developer. For the past year I’ve been working on Vista, a set of scripts for database-driven websites. This weekend I released the .02 version, which is finally a real “website in a box”.

Vista is written for webservers running PHP/mySQL. It has been tested on both Apache and IIS. Coming Soon: ASP port?

So your not using vista to run CC right? I took a look at it yesterday. Is Vista Seeker your site or someone else’s? I know you made it, but I’m wondering who updates it and shit.

Ohh you think you’re so hot Sassy. Why don’t you check out rebellionrecordz.com and see some REAL coding in action. It’s all about gangsta coding bitch. Fuck all that Database shit, it’s all about FSO baby, that’s right have some file system object up the kazoo. LOL. I been doing a little work on that shit here and there. Got a counter made (WEEEEEEEEEE) 10 whole minutes of development time. And a totally useless guestbook search function (AWWWWWE YEAH!) (I love instr ()) Hehe, good shit man. What do I need to run that shit on a windoze 98 box? You know I’m keepin it real with tha 98 boye.

ahh…. CC is not running vista, I’m thinking about making it work with vista, but it would take some serious data munging to get the CC data into vista. Vista Seeker is my site, I update it. What do you want to run on win98? ASP or ….? Im not sure what your aksing.

I was asking what I’d need to get your vista thing to run on my box. I’d need apachie and mySQL right? will that run on 98?

To run vista you can use either apache or IIS,and you’d need to install PHP and mySQL. All of these are documented to work on win98, but I don’t think anyone will vouch for their performance. Anyway, it should work on 98.
