Welcome back, folks. I hope everyone had a good weekend. As you can see I’ve been tweaking the site a little. Make sure and check out the all new archives. Coming soon I’ll have it by writer as well.

Friday night I went down to the skateshop and picked up a new Element deck and a sweet set of 55mm spitfires. I went to my usual spot, ‘the overwax’. This spot is the most perfect marble ledges. Of course the damn little kids sit there and butter that shit with wax, even though it is the smoothest grind/slide imaginable. After a lengthy session of Sassy Noseslides and 50-50 jammers, I overshot the lip on a grinder and slipped out, catching my shin and popping it open like an overcooked hot dog.

I knew it needed a couple of stitches, but I really hate waiting 3 hours in the hospital, so I came home and tried to patch it up myself. That failed miserably, Made a trip to the hospital the next morning, but they don’t stitch after 3 hours, so I’m stuck with it healing on its own. So I have a brand new board, skate shoes, and even though my leg feels fine, I can’t skate for a few days at least.

Saturday nite the Lady and I cruised up to Laguna Beach and had dinner at the Royal Hawaiian, a cool tiki-bar/restaurant with the killer barbeque ribs and massive drinks. I barely made it home to San Diego.

New Years eve has sucked as long as I can remember. This year was no different. Beth’s friend knew of some party, and before going I told her: “If this party is 10 kids hanging around in somebody’s kitchen, I’m leaving.”

We get there and it’s 12 kids, all smoking cigarettes. The good thing was I have finally made the decision that I will never attend another party at someone’s house who I don’t know at all. I’ve always hated parties, now I’m finally completely comfortable never attending another fucking one. Of course we ended up at the same goddamn rocker/dive bar that I can’t stand. That lasted maybe 30 minutes and it was to bed by 1 AM.

Big Brother published my letter in their new issue. I forgot to plug the website. DOH!
