Modeling School : A place for Jergs

Jason Dill
This man has been to Modeling school. He's a pro skateboarder, and this is an ad in this month's TWS (skate mag). In this pic Dill is borrowing the portrait pose of nearly every 80's metal band: the head cocked, the single, center eye staring at you. Dill is a master manipulator of his image, and also a rad skater.
Skateboarding is getting crazy with these nicknames. In the day you had Hawk and Cab and Holmes(in prison for speed), now we've got "l'l Stevie", "Vinny Vegas", "Trainwreck", and now fucking "Ragdoll". I'm guessing this has something to do with professional wrestling's grand impact on consumer society. If skating is the predictor of next years fashions, then punk will be back in force within 5 years. Here's my take, both as a skater and an SDSU student:
1995: Skating out,Blading in,Raving in -Skaters look pretty much the same as they do now
2000: Skating in, raving out -Skate gear is acceptable for non-skaters
2005: Skating out, knife-fighting in -Extreme "blading" sweeps the nation. Vince Mcmahon launches the "XBN" (Xtreem BL8DING l3AGUE!!)
